School Calendars 2025-2026: Start and End Dates for Atlanta School Districts

Atlanta schools may be ending soon, but before you know it, another school year will be upon us. Whether you live ITP, OTP, or somewhere way far out, we've tried to make planning for Atlanta school easier by letting you know the year start and end dates. Atlanta Public Schools (APS) starts back Monday, August 1, 2025 and many additional Atlanta schools start around then, (some even in July!). Atlanta Public Schools (APS): Dates to Know
As we wrap up the school year, it's already time to plan for the next one! APS is the major school district within the city lines of Atlanta, with more than 50,000 students! Families should know that the upcoming school year runs August 1, 2025 – May 28, 2026. Get more important details about the upcoming school year below
When Is APS December Break?
As you work to finalize holiday plans, plan a vacation with the released APS December break dates. The upcoming school year's December break runs December 22, 2025 - January 2, 2026.
When Is APS Winter Break?
The APS winter break runs February 18-20, 2026.
When Is APS Spring Break?
Though it may seem far away, spring break is around the corner when it comes to the planning process. Atlanta Public School's spring break runs April 6-10, 2026.
