This fine jeweler offers ear piercing services for babies, kids, and adults. Located in Marietta, David Douglas Diamonds & Jewelry charges $25 for a sitting fee plus the cost of the in-stock earrings. They use the Inverness piercing system and the exclusive Safety Back. Appointment required.

3. Inksomnia - Johns Creek

This tattoo studio comes highly recommended by MANY Atlanta moms getting their kids' ears pierced (I brought my own daughter here for her ear piercing). Though it may give off a serious vibe, the staff are super friendly and will answer all questions. Inksomnia pierces kids ages 8 and up; uses sterilized needles; takes walk-ins; and sells titanium studs (this metal is safe for people with sensitive skin and/or nickel allergies).

4. Pigtails & Crewcuts - Multiple Locations

In addition to kids haricuts, did you know Pigtail & Crewcuts pierces ears? Trained staff use a one-time cartridge to pierce either gold-plated or stainless-steel finished studs -- usually doing both ears at the same time.

Many pediatrician and medical offices offer ear piercing services. Check with your individual doctor to find out if he or she offers this service, what type of jewelry and piercing method they use, associated costs, and if a separate appointment is necessary. 

Ear Piercing for Children: Know Before You Go

• Be patient with your child, and don't rush the process. If your child doesn't want to continue the process after the first ear has been pierced, talk with the piercing studio as they may let you come in the next day when your child is a bit calmer.
• Tell your piercer if your child has any allergies or skin sensitivities —it may affect the type of earring used or piercing method.
• Many tattoo studios are safe, trusted resources to get earlobe piercings for kids (usually children over age 8).
• Do NOT leave the studio without getting complete aftercare instructions, including any recommended products.
• Most ear piercing studios use needles or devices (sometimes referred to as "guns") to pierce ears. Learn the difference between these ear piercing methods and then, based on that knowledge, find the studio you prefer.
• Some piercing studios require parents and/or guardians to provide legal documentation (i.e. birth certificate) upon arrival and before starting the procedure.
