An Atlanta favorite, Va-Hi Summerfest kicks off with a 5K on Saturday. Visitors to the popular event will hear live music, shop for art, and eat yummy food. Kidsfest is both days and is located near the sand volleyball courts. Children enjoy games, crafts, and activities. 

Folks can also attend the festival kick-off party which supports John Howell Park Renovations. The event goes 6-10pm on Friday, and features gourmet food trucks, music, fun activities for kids, and some free beverages (both alcoholic and non). Kick-off party tickets are $10 for Va-Hi residents and $15 for non-residents; free for kids 12 and under (ages 2 and under free).
