Exciting New Ice Skating Rink Set to Open at Domino Square this Winter
The leaves may have just started turning, but the excitement for winter sports is already knocking on New Yorkers' doors. Some of our favorite outdoor ice skating rinks are already opening for the season, and there's a brand new on one the horizon, too!
Two Trees Management, the developer and manager of Domino Park, has announced the opening of a brand-new ice skating rink at Domino Square—the one-acre public plaza set to function as a year-round community space. The new square is an extension of Domino Park, which was built on the site of the historic Domino Sugar Refinery.

Nestled between Two Trees’ new residential development, One Domino Square, and its new office project, The Refinery at Domino, Domino Square is designed to enrich the community by hosting large-scale events such as farmers markets, graduations, and salsa nights.
Domino Square will also be a hub of seasonal activities, including the debut of Williamsburg’s first waterfront ice skating rink, slated to open in November 2024. With the rink, Domino Square aims to become a winter destination for skaters of all ages.
The Domino Square ice skating rink is the second waterfront Brooklyn ice skating rink, offering locals and tourists the chance to skate while taking in iconic views of the Manhattan skyline. Last year, Glide—a scenic riverfront rink in Dumbo—made a splash as a popular new winter attraction.
The seasonal rink at Domino Square features a unique “bowl-like” design with a raised edge framed by lush planting beds and tiered seating to create a dramatic atmosphere. Domino Square offers views of the landmarked Refinery building, the Williamsburg Bridge, and the iconic syrup tanks of Domino Park.
Opening date and details on pricing are still forthcoming. Keep an eye on our Family Activity Calendar for the opening day announcement.
