A Class Act NY’s award-winning acting school offers one-week musical theater, TV and film, and drama summer camps and classes for ages 5 and up taught by Broadway stars and industry professionals.
With 10 different week-long summer camps led by Broadway and TV/film actors, LA casting directors and talent reps, and other top industry professionals, A Class Act NY has options for young actors of all skill levels–including advanced programs for seasoned students. From late June through late August, the popular program serves up training in musical theater, dramatic arts, on-camera acting, and voice-over at Pearl Studios in Midtown Manhattan–just steps away from Times Square and the Theater District. Choose from “Bound for Broadway,” a Sitcom Intensive, and other engaging programming.

The beloved program is celebrating 20 years of bringing enriching and supportive acting classes to students of all ages. What kind of camps are offered in the summer?
A Class Act NY offers programming focused on musical theater, on-camera acting, dramatic arts, and voice-over. This summer, you’ll find options like “Bound for Broadway” and “Broadway Camp A.C.A.N.Y.,” which invite campers to learn famed musical numbers and take workshops with visiting Broadway artists. There's also a "Sitcom Intensive" led by an LA Disney Director, where kids re-create an episode of a popular sitcom, and an "Acting Lab Intensive" led by a major LA talent manager that explores dynamic performance and auditioning skills and ends in an industry showcase with scouting talent reps. Summer programs are open to kids as young as 5, while accepting students through their 20s. Within each camp, participants are further grouped by age.
Do children need to audition for summer programs?
Most camps are open to all skill levels–just three programs require an audition.

Does every camp end with a performance?
Yes, all of the summer programs end with a final performance or showcase for loved ones and, in select instances, include an industry showcase with scouting talent reps. Meanwhile, most musical theater programs culminate in a final showcase at an Off-Broadway theater.
Where is the camp located?
All of the summer programs are hosted at Pearl Studios in Midtown Manhattan. The facility is equipped with Yamaha pianos, mirrors, acoustical curtains, sprung wood floors, and more.
