To honor the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library hosts its annual Veterans Day Event. The day’s activities include live musical entertainment, a civil war encampment, a military vehicle display, and a program honoring all branches of our military.

The program, which begins at 11am, includes an honor guard, live music, and keynote remarks by United States Marine Chief Warrant Officer-4 Randy Gaddo (Ret.). In 1983, Randy Gaddo was in Beirut, Lebanon with the 24th Marine Amphibious Unit, as part of a multination peacekeeping force.  He was there in October 1983 when terrorists drove a truck bomb into the U.S. barracks, killing 240 U.S. Servicemen. Being one of the lucky ones to not be hurt, he was part of crew who helped look for survivors, clean up the bomb site, and retrieve the bodies of those who lost their lives.

Outdoor events and the program are free to attend; however, reservations are recommended to attend the program.

Museum admission rates apply to visit the Reagan Museum and Air Force One Pavilion.Veterans with valid ID receive free admission to the Museum on November 11. Active military members with valid ID are always free.
