1. Discovery Green's FUNomenal Spring Break
From March 10-14, 2025, Discovery Green presents the FUNomenal Spring Break, featuring Houston's only outdoor roller-skating rink and a variety of free S.T.E.A.M. activities. Families can enjoy hands-on science experiments, technology workshops, and cultural performances daily from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. While skating fees apply, all other activities are FREE, making it a budget-friendly option for family fun.
2. ExxonMobil Theater District Open House
Start off Spring Break with a fantastic FREE day of theater activities on Monday, March 10. With workshops, demonstrations, and other performances, you'll be singing, dancing, and having a whole lot of energetic fun.

3. Journey to the Moon at Asia Society Texas Center
From March 11-14 you can embrace Houston's Space City status and take a FREE intergalactic mission. Your family will become space cadets working together to complete a series of tasks to get everyone to the moon. Don't forget to register in advance.
4. Sheldon Lake State Park Arts in the Park
You can always visit Sheldon Lake State Park for FREE, and on March 11 you can also create your own FREE work of art. Sheldon Lake State Park also has beautiful stroller-friendly trails, fishing ponds, and an observation tower. Texas State Parks are always a great option for a day out during Spring Break.

5. Jurassic Giants at the Houston Zoo
We're so excited for the launch of Jurassic Giants at Houston Zoo at the start of Spring Break 2025! Travel through a forest trail to see over 60 new dinosaurs. Afterward, you can go and see all of today's amazing zoo animals as well.
6. Blessington Farms Spring Break Kids Activities
This family-favorite U-pick farm opens up in March for Spring Break festivities. The gem-mining, jump-pad, and camel feeding are among the 20+ fun attractions.
7. Dewberry Farm Spring Festival
Head west of Houston to Dewberry Farm's Spring Festival! As well as the usual over 40 rides and attractions, you can meet the Easter Bunny, snap family photos at festive springtime photo ops, enjoy daily egg hunts, indulge in delicious seasonal treats, and experience even more holiday fun!
8. Mercer Botanic Gardens Spring Break
Special activities on the schedule for Spring Break include butterfly garden building, St Patrick's Day crafts, and a Scavenger Hunt. You will also see flowers and plants start to unfurl for Spring at Mercer Botanic Gardens in Humble. You can visit the arboretum with two playgrounds, a picnic area, and walking trails, or admire the bamboo, ferns, and more in the botanic gardens.

9. Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
Grab your cowboy hat and pull on your boots! One of H-Town’s biggest and most historic annual events, the Houston Rodeo, runs right through Spring Break 2025. Rides, concerts, mutton busting, and more await for a day full of fun.
10. Houston St. Patrick's Day Parade
Dress up in Irish green and enjoy the fun of the free two-hour Houston 65th Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. It's one of the largest in the US.
11. Downtown Aquarium's Spring Break Adventure
The Downtown Aquarium offers a marine adventure with over 300 species to explore. During Spring Break 2025, families can take advantage of the Spring Break pass which allows unlimited access to the Downtown Aquarium, Kemah Boardwalk, and Galveston Island Pleasure Pier.

13. Children's Museum of Houston Spring Break Blast
With 90,000 square feet of fun, kids love the Children’s Museum, and in Spring Break every day has a fun theme from Annual Pi Day to animal encounters. Their special Spring Break Blast includes giant video games, a confetti party, and a chance to roll in human hamster balls.
14. Houston Museum of Natural Science Sugar Land: Water & Weather Week
HMNS at Sugar Land is hosting Water & Weather week every day during Spring Break. Families can explore the wonders of water and weather with fun activities. Don't forget to visit the main HMNS location as well for more family fun.
15. Space Center Houston Moon 2 Mars
Head into space at the Moon 2 Mars Festival during Spring Break, with concerts, demos, and more. Space Center Houston also hosts two 5-day camps during Spring Break 2025 for children ages 5-11. Campers will explore the planets and look at stars, as well as enjoying NASA's tram ride to view the historic Saturn V rocket.

20. Huntsville State Park Family Camping Event
Camping equipment is provided at Huntsville State Park's two-night family camping event, March 16-18, 2025. There will be demonstrations on how to set up your tent, fishing, and fire building. Bike, hike, do some birdwatching, and boat an hour north of Houston at Huntsville State Park.
