1. Froberg’s Farm – Alvin
Froberg’s Farm offers opportunities for family fun in every season. At the Fall Festival, pumpkin patchers can navigate a corn maze, snap photos in the patch, play on the rustic playground, and so much more. In the spring (typically January – May), grab a bucket and head to the strawberry fields to harvest your fill of the luscious berries, and then keep coming back through the summer as the blackberries ripen on the vine, fresh for the picking.
2. Dewberry Farm – Brookshire
When you visit one of the seasonal festivals at Dewberry Farm, you better be prepared to make lifelong memories. Kids can hop aboard a train, go for a pony ride, cuddle barnyard animals, take a spin on a carnival ride, and tons more. The Fall Festival features a photograph-worthy pumpkin house; and you won’t want to miss the flower photo ops in the spring.
3. Wunderlich Farm – Klein
Get a history lesson when you make the trip to Wunderlich Farm, an open-air living history museum that’s open to the public on the last Saturday of every month. Children love taking a peek into the past in the 1925 schoolhouse, feeding the horses, and exploring the homestead on this working farm. Parents appreciate the farmers market and all the local vendors and farm-fresh goodies that pair with a day of educational fun.
4. Blessington Farms – Simonton
Whether you’re coming to pick juicy blueberries or feed a camel, you’re sure to have an adventure at Blessington Farms. The Farm Funland playground lets busy kiddos work out their energy on unique climbing structures and slides. At the petting zoo, littles can get their gentle hands on sheep, goats, pigs, and other farm animals. Seasonal programming includes a pumpkin patch, sunflower festival, and more to keep things interesting all year long.

5. Old MacDonald’s Farm – Humble
When it comes to family-friendly entertainment, Old MacDonald’s Farm has it covered with all the traditional features, like a duck pond, petting zoo (with baby animals!), train rides, and seasonal fests. But this one-of-a-kind spot also features unique opportunities for fun. A sand mountain complete with shovels and buckets is perfect for digging and climbing, a hay barn makes a soft spot to play, and a seasonal swimming pool offers a cool respite from H-Town’s relentless summer heat.
6. 7 Acre Wood – Conroe
One of our top things to do in Conroe with kids, this farm park is a kid-friendly haven that features classic attractions like a playground, games, a petting zoo, and pony rides along with exciting activities, including a giant Lego room, zip line, scooter track, and play towns. Embrace some old-fashioned fun in a friendly game of mini golf and then work together to create a masterpiece in the chalk room. Your kids will be begging you to bring them back again and again.
7. Oil Ranch – Hockley
For an inside look at life on a real, working ranch, make your way to the 50-acre Oil Ranch just north of Houston. Your little ones can try their hand at milking a cow, feeding cattle, and roping to see if farm life is a good fit, and then they can play the day away with hayrides, fishing, putt putt golf, paintball, train rides, and so much more. It’s worth the drive for the unforgettable time they’ll have learning new skills.

8. P-6 Farms – Montgomery
Known for U-Pick blackberries and sunflowers, P-6 also offers hayrides and seasonal activities for fall and Easter. The vintage rides, animal farm, pumpkins you can actually pick off the vine, and tasty treats will have you turning your trip to the farm into a new family tradition.

Jollisant Farms offers year-round U-pick opportunities for strawberries and other fruits and veggies. 10. Old Time Christmas Tree Farm – Spring
Create a new holiday tradition when you set off to one of the best Christmas tree farms in Houston, the Old Time Christmas Tree Farm. Virginia pines and cypress trees are planted across this 40-acre farm, so you’ll have plenty of mature options to choose from. Once you’ve got your perfect tree, let the kiddos snap a picture with Santa before they play around (aka: get dirty) on the giant slide and bounce house, take a train ride through the trees, and visit the petting zoo.
