A World of Holiday Magic: Coca-Cola Classic Christmas Opens at Memorial City Mall
Whiz down a snow-covered slope and glide across ice at Coca-Cola Classic Christmas, a brand-new holiday event in Houston. This festive light festival promises larger-than-life holiday cheer with dazzling displays, ice skating, snow slides, Santa photos, festive food, shopping, and so much more.
Our family was invited to experience it firsthand, and it’s safe to say Classic Christmas has officially earned a spot on our list of favorite holiday events in Houston. Check out video of our experience here, or keep reading to get all the details on this incredible new holiday celebration.

What to Expect at Classic Christmas
Classic Christmas is an outdoor holiday event located outside Memorial City Mall, and stepping in felt like being whisked away from a parking lot into a magical winter wonderland. Thousands of sparkling holiday lights greeted us, along with the iconic Coca-Cola truck—a perfect photo opportunity.
The kids were eager to try snow tubing, so we headed there first. The snow hill was massive and so much fun. Guests are given their own tube, which they carry to the top of the hill before zipping down the snow-covered slope—it was surprisingly fast! This unique experience is a real treat for Houston kids who rarely get to enjoy snow tubing. Each pass includes three trips down the slide, and after we finished, we made our way to the ice skating rink.
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the rink. Skates are provided, and the whole experience felt magical, gliding across the ice surrounded by thousands of twinkling lights.
Your Texas kids can experience ice skating and snow tubing without a plane ticket. After skating, we grabbed some hot chocolate to enjoy as we strolled around the event. For those looking for more festive treats, the Classic Christmas Eatery offered a variety of seasonal bites and drinks. We stopped by Market Square, where local vendors showcased unique goods and holiday treasures. One highlight was getting a caricature of the kids—it turned out amazing!
As we explored, we passed the outdoor Cinemark Theater, which was playing Coca-Cola Classic Holiday shorts, and couldn’t resist joining in the fun on their interactive dance floor.
Photo opportunities were everywhere, from stunning light display backdrops to a chance to pose with the iconic Coca-Cola Polar Bear. And, of course, no holiday event is complete without a visit with Santa himself.
