Riding Aboard Atlanta's Tea Around Town: A Mobile Tea Party Perfect for Kids

The only thing better than a tea party with kids is a moving tea party through the streets of Atlanta! Tea Around Town Atlanta is a tour bus with a twist...as groups make their way through downtown Atlanta, they are treated to a delicious tea party, dainty decor, singing tour guides, and fun sights. You won't mind Atlanta traffic aboard this mobile tea party! With two daughters of my own, of course we had to ride Tea Around Town Atlanta and experience the most demure, girly way to learn about the city. Grab your fascinator, keep pinkies up, and take a ride on the ultimate tea party!

Tea Around Town Atlanta: Bus Tours with Tea
A Mobile Tea Room for All
The Tea Around Town adventure begins as each group boards the bus for their scheduled time (tours last about 90 minutes individually) outside Centennial Olympic Park, near SkyView Atlanta. The double-decker bus welcomes all with sparkly decor of pinks and silvers, as everyone ascends the stairs and finds their reserved, private table with the help of uniformed staff. Depending on the experience package paid for, tables are outfitted with towers of savory and sweet treats, as well as a souvenir tumbler (which will be filled with teas throughout the ride).
The large windows overlook downtown Atlanta and offer a new and exciting way to see the city. Our tour guide not only detailed the historical sites of Atlanta and the downtown area, she also sang fun tunes throughout the tea party trip. What's better than a singing tour guide with a tea in your hand?!
There's a variety of tasty items as you pass downtown landmarks, like the Georgia State University campus.
Tea Party Treats and Drinks
Choose either the Luxe (from $99) or Petite (from $69) packages, which will determine the amount and types of savory and sweet treats. Our three-tiered tower of snacks included tea sandwiches in flavors like egg salad, cucumber, chicken salad, mushroom, and more. Sweet bites included cake pops, mini meringue, cheesecake, cream puffs, and more. And you can't have a proper tea party without scones and preserves. Those with the luxe package even get to try a bite of caviar served on a blini.
Throughout the bus tour, staff will come around and fill your tumbler with various teas including apple cider tea, mint green tea, mixed berry and hibiscus, and usually a seasonal flavor. Water is always available. And guests can always pass on a tea, hot and iced, if they aren't feeling it.
My daughters LOVED trying every item on our tiered tray and the passed teas. And since there isn't a bad view on the bus, it's great fun trying new foods while checking out the scenery of downtown Atlanta.
Cheers to a family-friendly afternoon tea!
