Make Marshmallow Snowman Treats
Last Saturday we sponsored a stellar performance of Stella, Queen of the Snow at Symphony Space. Before the puppet show we met Mommy Poppins readers to make these adorable marshmallow snowman pops. The kids had a blast and so did we, so we thought we should share it with everyone. Here's how to make your own Frosty from the comfort of your home, in three easy steps.

The basic materials for this project are marshmallows, some candy for decorating, a bit of white frosting "glue," and a lollipop stick. We used gumdrops for hats and M&M Minis for eyes and buttons. Airheads candies can be molded kind of like clay, so they are great for forming into scarves and noses.
Use your creativity and whatever you can get your hands on to make your own snowmen. If they aren't perfect, don't worry; they probably won't last long.
1. Push two marshmallows onto your lollipop stick.
2. Make a scarf out of Airheads. You can stretch it a bit and cut fringe on the ends. Wrap that around the "shoulders" of the bottom marshmallow. Using white frosting as your glue affix eyes, a nose, buttons and finally a hat to your snowman.
3. Contemplate the ephemeral nature of all snowmen before condemning it to a tasty demise.
These look great in a bowl or on a mantle or shelf just sitting out. You can also string them on a ribbon and hang them.
Show us what you make. Share it on FacebookTwitter or Instagram and tag @mommypoppins so we can see your creations too!
