Enjoy an afternoon of indoor family fun at one of these Orlando escape rooms! Put your inner Sherlock Holmes to the test with puzzles, riddles, and challenges to work together as a team and beat the clock in these themed experiences. These Orlando escape rooms are great entertainment for tweens and teens, but some are kid-friendly to ages as young as 7! Many of these locations offer birthday party options as well.

Orlando Escape Rooms for Families and Visitors

America’s Escape Game — Orlando

Room themes at America’s Escape Game include The Caretaker, Crisis at 1600, Revenge of the Tomb, Asylum, and – very fitting in our current situation – Pandemic. Rooms can accommodate 5-10 people, depending on the theme. Due to Covid-19, all games are currently private. Games are designed for ages 12 and up, but younger players are welcome. Kids under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Bureau  — Orlando

The Bureau offers high-tech escape games with a trio of themes, including Puppet Heist, Dr. Braingood, and the Lab at Lochness. Each game has a time limit of 60 minutes, and can accommodate anywhere from 2-8 players (2-6 players for Dr. Braingood). Masks are required in the lobby, but optional inside each mission.

Dare 2 Escape — Kissimmee

Race the clock to escape one of the highly themed rooms at Dare to Escape, with unique themes such as The Video Store, Happily Never After, and The Paper Company. Those looking for a scare can book The Seventh Room, a horror-themed escape room experience. Due to Covid-19, all games are private until further notice, and guests must wear face coverings in public areas.

Escape Artists — Sanford & Orlando

With two locations serving Central Florida, Escape Artists offer a variety of immersive game experiences. At the Historic Downtown Sanford location, themes include Secret Society, Protocol Zero, Rest Easy Motel, and Cat Burglar. Rooms at the Orlando (Baldwin Park) location include Dream (step inside the mind of an infamous sociopath), Baldwin Manor, and Ninja. Games are best suited for ages 10 and up. All games are currently private, and reservations are required.

The Escape Company — Orlando

Conveniently located near the Walt Disney World Resort, The Escape Company offers five escape rooms: The Knights of Norwich, Outlawed, Legend of the Silent Tide, Suburban Serial Killer, and Pandorum. All bookings are currently private and rooms have a 60-minute time limit. Games are recommended for ages 10 and up.

The Escape Game – Orlando

Looking for a fun, themed room for an older child or tween? The Playground room at The Escape Game is perfect to introduce your child to their first escape game experience. Other games offered include Gold Rush, Prison Break, The Heist, Special Ops: Mysterious Market, and Mission: Mars. Games are geared toward ages 13 and up, but younger children are welcome to participate.

Escape Goat — Winter Garden

This venue offers a number of family-friendly themed rooms, including The Quest, Area 51, A Fisherman’s Tale, and Operation Treehouse: Capture the Flag. Kids must be at least 5 years old to participate, and puzzles are geared toward ages 13 and up. All rooms are private, and masks are currently required to be worn in the lobby area.

The Escape Ventures — Orlando

If you dare, play a game in complete and total darkness with the Outage: No Vacancy room at Escape Ventures. Or, very fitting to its proximity to UCF, there is a Bros for Life: Fraternity Heist room. And the newest themed room, The Satirical Miracle: A Jolly Tale of Granny’s Blackmail, is sure to provide lots of fun. There is no age restriction, although some games may be too intense for children under 13. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a paid adult. All bookings are private.

Lockbusters — Orlando

Lockbusters offers five unique and immersive escape rooms, including The Collector, Bank Heist, Pirate Adventure, Cremlocke Manor, and Unstoppable: Chopper Down. Each game has a 60-minute time limit, and 2-8 players can participate at a time. There are no age restrictions, however some rooms may not be appropriate for kids younger than 13.  

Locksmith Escape Games — Sanford

Located in the Seminole Towne Center Mall, Locksmith offers three private escape room experiences, including The Curse of the Evil Genie, Rescue from Voodoo Island, and What Happened in Raven Woods? Each room allows 60 minutes to escape. Games are recommended for ages 10 and up (age 15 and up for Raven Woods).

Mind Masters — Clermont

This family-friendly escape room located in Clermont welcomes kids ages 7 and older. Families can work together as a team to complete missions including Strange Magic and Pop-Ops. A take-home escape mission experience is also offered known as Mind Masters To-Go. Advanced reservations are required.

Mystique Escape Rooms — Lake Mary

Mystique offers private escape room experiences, with professionally themed rooms such as Secrets of the Pharaohs, Murder in London, and Wizards Tower. Reservations are required. Games are recommended for ages 13 and up.
