NY Times City Room reports on the DOE plans to expand its citywide elementary talented-and-gifted programs beyond Manhattan with two new schools opening up in Sept. 2009 in Brooklyn and Queens and plans for programs in Staten Island and the Bronx in 2010.  Check out Inside Schools Blog for more details.
