Mother's Day brunch reservations in NYC don't make themselves. With the holiday fast approaching, on Sunday, May 11, 2025, consider this your reminder that it's time to start planning a special Mother's Day brunch for the well-deserving mothers in your life. Speaking from experience, all moms want is a little time off.

Mother's Day Brunch 2025 in Manhattan

1. Ophelia – Midtown East

Mother's Day brunch with a view is on the menu at Ophelia, the 26th-floor Art Deco-inspired cocktail lounge at the Beekman Tower, which offers sweeping East River views. Executive chef Antelmo Amrosio serves a delectable brunch on a three-tiered tower, with treats like burrata, mini-scones, mini lobster rolls, tomato bisque with grilled cheese, and more. Make sure to wash it all down with a signature cocktail.

2. Aquavit – Midtown East

Treat mom to a Nordic lunch at this two-Michelin-starred restaurant. The three-course meal features a selection of starters, including herring and cold seafood. A choice of grilled wagyu strip loin or poached cod makes up the second course, and the dessert is pannkakstårta (Swedish pancakes) with huckleberry, raspberry, and vanilla. Brunch runs $165 per person and is available from noon-3pm. For an extra treat, bring mom home a Queen’s Cake to-go, made with sponge cake, raspberry jam, mousse, and whipped cream. Cakes must be pre-ordered for $65 each, and are available for pickup Friday, May 9-Sunday, May 11.

3. Dhamaka – Lower East Side

This four-course tasting brunch offers options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The non-vegetarian menu includes mushrooms, rice, lentils, roasted red pepper chutney, chicken curry with green chickpeas, mushrooms, and mint flatbread, with pudding and ice cream for dessert. The vegetarian menu includes walnut chutney and black pepper paneer with green chickpeas, mushrooms, and mint flatbread. The meal runs $60 per person.

4. L’Avenue at Saks – Midtown

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a touch of elegance and a lot of indulgence. All weekend long, treat mom to a classic brunch followed by a special heart-shaped chocolate mousse finished with a raspberry glaze, fresh raspberries, and a refreshing raspberry sorbet. During brunch, raise a glass to all the moms with the 5th Avenue Spritz—a vibrant cocktail of cherry blossom-infused gin, cherry blossom and ginger syrup, grapefruit, and prosecco.

5. Crazy Pizza – SoHo

This Mother’s Day, Crazy Pizza—the first US location of the international chain—offers a family-friendly brunch from 12-4pm. Families can enjoy a range of Italian cuisine and cocktails, including pizza alla Nutella, Tartufo pizza, and spaghetti al pomodoro; plus, a balloon artist and face painter are on hand to entertain the kids. The restaurant is also open for dinner, where guests can expect lively, tableside offerings with waiters shaving truffles, theatrically preparing tiramisu, and performing their signature pizza spinning shows.

Celebrate the day during an elegant brunch featuring classic French-inspired fare. Chef partners Jeremiah Stone and Fabian von Hauske present refined brunch dishes with a twist alongside house-made laminated breads, artisanal cheeses, and iconic desserts. Beneath a bright overhead skylight, live music on the dining room’s antique piano sets the tone for a lively Mother’s Day celebration.

7. Bottino – Chelsea

Choose from a range of menu items, including bavette cacio pepe (a simple but tasty Roman pasta dish made with black pepper and Pecorino Romano cheese), brioche French toast, sliced New York strip steak, and more. Brunch is $95 for adults and $50 for children.

8. Take Care – Murray Hill

Located in the Shelburne Sonesta Hotel, this modern American bistro offers a family-style Mother’s Day brunch this year. Enjoy a thoughtfully crafted menu by chef Chris D’Ambrosio featuring fresh, seasonal flavors, handcrafted pastries, and house cocktails in a warm and inviting space. 14. Chez Nick – Upper East Side

This neighborhood staple offers brunch with a selection of spring-inspired specials in addition to its regular brunch menu. Mom can savor a biscuit breakfast sandwich with maple sausage and a fried egg while the kids go crazy for the double-stack buttermilk pancakes. There are also cocktails, beer, and wine galore—and even a few mocktail options for the non-drinkers in your party.

15. Naks – East Village

Celebrate mom with a four-course Filipino brunch tasting menu. Begin your meal with lumpiang gulay (crispy vegetable spring rolls), followed by a Pinoy Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, smoked fish dressing, and garlic pandesal crumbs. The entree is the Silog Platter, featuring chicken adobo, skinless pork longganisa, short rib tapa, grilled eggplant, scrambled eggs, tomato salad, pickled vegetables, garlic rice, and a rich bone broth. 16. Tamarind – Tribeca

This flavorful Mother's Day celebration features a menu that highlights the rich tastes of Indian cuisine. Choose from starters like dahi bhalla, a spiced lentil dumpling in tangy yogurt, or Andhra kodi, a fragrant chicken stir-fry with curry leaves and aromatic spices. For the main course, there's tenkay jhinga, succulent tiger prawns marinated with coconut and mustard seeds, or goat chop masala, slow-cooked in a flavorful onion-tomato sauce. Finish the meal with a sweet touch of moong dal halwa, a rich dessert made from lentils, ghee, and nuts. Please note: Kids must be 10 years or older to enjoy the indoor dining room, though all ages are welcome outside.

17. Valla Table – Hell's Kitchen

Befitting the holiday, chef Chuck Valla honors his mom this Mother's Day, who taught him how to cook at her mom's Bangkok restaurant. He pays tribute to her with mom’s pad Thai: five-spice tofu, sweet radish, shrimp, and rice noodles with egg and ground peanuts. He also honors her memory with khao soi Chiang Mai, a comforting Northern Thai coconut curry that features soft noodles imported from Thailand, slow-cooked chicken, and a fun garnish of crispy noodles.

18. Vestry – SoHo

Under the direction of chef Shaun Hergatt, this fine dining restaurant presents a multi-course experience for Mother's Day that highlights tea brand Tealeaves' new flavor "mocha mousse," with dishes including wild mushroom tart with morels and green asparagus, Catsmo smoked salmon with horseradish on a mini bagel, and a croque monsieur with Iberico bellota ham and truffle. Desserts include warm scones with Devonshire cream and tea jam, a decadent chocolate tartlet with Guanaja chocolate and passion fruit.

19. Ellen's Stardust Diner – Midtown

To celebrate the return of Mamma Mia! to Broadway this summer, Ellen's Stardust Diner is hosting a special brunch at The Iridium. This special event features live, show-stopping ABBA performances from Ellen’s world-famous singing waitstaff. The two-hour brunch menu includes themed dishes such as Gimme Gimme chicken and waffles, Voulez Vous vegan parfait, and Super Trouper short stack, among others. Themed cocktails include Our Last Summer Sangria, Mamma Mia Mimosa, Lay All Your Love On Me Bellini, and Take a Chance on Me Bloody Mary. Tickets start at $50 per person and include entry, entrée, and soft drinks. A $75 ticket adds unlimited mimosas to the brunch for up to two hours. Purchase tickets online in advance.

20. Havana Cafe – Schuylerville

This cozy Bronx spot offers a lively brunch, complete with a variety of Cuban-inspired breakfast items. Stop by later in the brunch to catch a banging selection of beats curated by DJ Psycho. If your kids are less adventurous than you, there's a basic kids' menu with child-friendly favorites such as chicken tenders, pancakes, waffles, and eggs, with a decent selection of sides.

21. Moss Cafe – Riverdale

This ethical, mom-friendly, cozy coffee shop and cafe serves a kosher, vegetarian menu embracing the farm-to-table movement. Menus change with the seasons, but expect wholesome, hearty, home-cooked goodness and made-from-scratch pastries. Enjoy the cafe's delicious teas and coffees, like the turmeric latte, or indulge in a smoothie like the Chunky Monkey.

22. Masalawala & Sons – Park Slope

This Mother's Day brunch tasting menu features five-course vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Veggie options include specialty dishes like begun (fried eggplant), beet chop with papaya chutney, cottage cheese curry served with ghee rice, scholar dal, Lucci, and mango ras malai. Diners opting for a non-vegetarian meal can enjoy dishes like biyerbari fish fry and kosha mangsho (slow-cooked mutton with ghee rice, cholar dal, and lucchi). The brunch tasting menu runs from 11:30am-2:30pm and costs $45 per person.

23. Sweetwater Restaurant – Williamsburg

This French-inspired bistro delights all with its highly rated steak frites, French toast, and organic farm-raised egg dishes. If the weather outlook is good, treat mom to an outdoor Mother's Day brunch just steps from McCarren Park at this unique Australian bar and restaurant. The setting is perfect for new walkers to explore while waiting for food. The menu includes kid-friendly options, from egg sandwiches and ricotta pancakes to avocado toast, as well as some adult-favorite options like oysters and house-cured Norwegian salmon.

This stylish eatery serves Mother's Day brunch with style. Bask in the bright and airy space and delight in a Catsmo smoked salmon croissant, buttermilk pancakes with a dark chocolate-tahini spread, or a classic shakshuka with a nutty twist.

27.  Leuca – Williamsburg

The William Vale's southern Italian-inspired restaurant, Leuca, is sure to serve a Mother's Day brunch to remember fresh from chef Andrew Carmeillini's kitchen. Brunch fare includes house-made pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and other dishes that feel like a taste of home. The space is bright and airy, and will feel like you've stepped straight into the restaurant's namesake in the Puglia region of Italy.

28. Superfine – Dumbo

This organic, spacious loft-style restaurant is woman-owned and a long-time local favorite. It's nestled under the Manhattan Bridge and serves brunch classics plus some south-of-the-border-style dishes. Brunch is accompanied by the band, The Lounge Leader, who takes you back in time with its swinging renditions of American standards.

29. Mom’s Kitchen & Bar – Astoria

What better choice for Mother’s Day brunch than an all-day breakfast spot named Mom’s? The festive menu has dishes like chicken and bacon waffles, shrimp and cheesy grits, and “bedrock pancakes” made with Fruity Pebbles and topped with a dollop of whipped cream. Partake in an indulgent adult beverage like the Duckie Slide with gin, elderflower, cucumber, lemon, and club soda, or opt for the classic mimosa, served in a 12-ounce goblet. The restaurant is also known for the fanciest (alcohol-free) milkshakes, with salty, savory, and sweet flavors blended into one delicious drink.

30. Dinerbar – Rego Park

Dinerbar is a modern take on that good ol' diner we all grew up with. Its regular brunch menu is hard to beat. Kids can't resist the French toast tower, and the savory grilled shrimp omelets (called "The Docks") come highly recommended. There's also a "boozy brunch" add-on. Kids, of course, are welcome, and high chairs are available.

31. Victory Garden Cafe Restaurant – Astoria

Mother's Day brunch at the Greek-influenced Victory Garden is just that: brunch in a garden. Finger-licking good options and a prix-fixe menu leave you with plenty to choose from, including spinach pies, egg dishes with a green twist, and other traditional picks. There are also plenty of options to keep picky little ones satisfied and bottomless brunch drinks for the adults.

32.  Pastavino – Stapleton Heights

While not exclusively brunch, Pastavino serves its full menu on Mother's Day. This includes pasta and wine, as the name implies, but also plenty of other options for a meal that's as light or heavy as you want. For light brunch-like fare, head to its antipasti section for appetizers like the tartare di tonno, which is a sashimi-style tuna with balsamic strawberries, jalapeños, and cucumber succo.
