Forest Lawn marks Black History Month with a free family-friendly celebration.

The evening features a community resource fair and reception with light refreshments followed by a one-night-only performance of music, dance, poetry, and special-guest speeches celebrating African American icons, culture, and history.

Schedule:

4pm - 6pm:  Community Resource & Networking Fair (light refreshments served)

6pm: Performance, including a troupe of singers and dancers, a five-piece band, andndistinguished speakers Anita Ortega and Marie Rogers. Dr. Brenda Threatt and Michael Ellington narrate the evening festivities.

Admission and parking are free.
