Indoor playground fun allows Long Island kids to bounce, climb, exercise, and explore in any weather. Our list of the best indoor play spaces in Nassau County will give you a jump on planning an action-packed, interactive, and most importantly, memorable day with your kiddos.

From trampoline parks to play cafes, most of these spots are affordable and accessible for the whole family. We've added age designations where appropriate to guarantee a good time for all. Many locations double as party venues, so check the venue's website or call ahead for open-play options, details, and pricing.

1. Active Kidz Long Island – Jericho

Active Kidz has many attractions, including an adventure maze, laser tag, inflatables, a ball pit/cannon area, and a rock-climbing wall. Open play sessions vary from week to week and might be limited to only some attractions. Check their website or call ahead for the open play schedule. Prices are either per activity or bundled into combination packages.

2. The Children's Social Club – Rockville Center

Parents and young children can enjoy themselves at the Children's Social Club. Young children can safely play in the gated area while parents socialize and watch from the tables. There is a small section for babies with dedicated toys. The older toddler and preschooler section has a climbing structure with a slide leading into a huge ball pit. Birthday party packages and weekly class options are on offer.

3. Bounce! Family Entertainement Center – Syosset

Plan a day of dodgeball, foam pits, inflatables, and trampoline after trampoline action at Bounce. The bumper cars and glow-in-the-dark laser tag are very popular. Sessions vary depending on the day's schedule, so check the website before going. Kids 6 and younger bounce in a separate area from bigger kids. There's even a toddler time just for little ones to enjoy. 

4. Pump It Up – Great Neck

This play space has open-bounce sessions on various dates and times, so check ahead. It features bounce houses galore, slides, and a wind tunnel. The venue also hosts glow-bounce and supervised drop-off, and parents-night-out sessions. Any age, even adults, can bounce, but there is a minimum height requirement of 34 inches. Socks are required. It also offers sessions for children with special needs. These sensory jump events require tickets in advance. Occupational therapists are welcome to accompany children. 

5. Lollibop Cafe & Play – Lawrence

Look no further for a play space for kids that also offers coffee, a healthy cafe menu, and Wi-Fi. This play cafe keeps kids busy with a rock climbing wall, Lego table, music area, a clubhouse, lots of games, a toddler area, and a dress-up area. Adults can supervise with a latte in hand. Check the website for available times. 

6. Laser Bounce Family Fun Center – Levittown

This large indoor complex has something for kids of all ages. Rooms are filled with bouncers. There's also a big ball-filled climbing area with ball cannons, a laser tag arena, bowling, and a game arcade. Unless already booked, all activities are available for parties or public play. The facility tries each week to list on its website times when each area is open to the public, but it advises calling first.

7. Jump Town U.S.A. – Farmingdale

While this is mainly a birthday party spot, Jump Town offers open play on holidays and school breaks. There are many giant inflatables, including bounce houses, slides, and obstacle courses. The Facebook page posts open play slots, which book up quickly.

8. Planet Play – Bellmore

Open play is scheduled in two-hour blocks and varies based on age. Some sessions are for all ages, while others are for 7 and younger. It also holds sensitive space sessions for children with special needs. There is a multilevel play structure, inflatables, an arcade, and virtual reality pods. There is also a dedicated toddler zone. Check the website for open-play hours.

9. Long Island Children's Museum – Garden City

Museum admission includes access to two indoor play areas, Tot Spot and Climb It. At Tot Spot, kids can play in the pretend train, grocery store, or construction areas, as well as wiggle, jump, slide, and play. Climb It offers two stories of crawling and climbing adventures. It is recommended for ages 4 and older with a minimum height of 42 inches. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays 10am-5pm, and memberships are available. For free admission, check your local library's museum pass program.

10. Mindnasium – Franklin Square

A rock-climbing wall, a multi-level climbing structure, and a zip line are some of the stand-out features at Mindnasium. It also offers science and art classes, and visiting children can explore the science and art areas. Open play hours vary by week, so it's best to check the website site for the latest updates.

11. Once Upon a Treetop – Plainview

This large indoor space focuses on creating settings for imaginative play. It is probably best for younger children, but older kids, especially if part of a mixed-age group, can have fun as well. The space is organized as if it were a little town or city, with rooms set up as a post office, restaurant, school, veterinary office, grocery store, construction zone, and more. Kids can run from room to room or ride little cars and bikes. There is a climbing treehouse on the property with a slide. Parents must supervise children, but staff are available to encourage imaginative play. 

12. Liddle Bites Play Cafe – Long Beach

This intimate and extensive play space is perfect for babies, crawlers, and preschoolers. It features life-sized dollhouses and stores for imaginative play, and so much more, from dolls to trains, blocks, puzzles, books, and art supplies. Parents can enjoy snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Admission is $15 for the first child and $12 for siblings for a two-hour play session; adults and babies under 6 months are free. Socks are required in the play space. 

13. Sensory Beans – Wantagh

In addition to special events held throughout the year, Sensory Beans usually offers morning and late-afternoon open-play sessions. Toddlers and preschoolers can enjoy climbing, swinging, and jumping on the different structures. There are also sensory play areas, such as water mats, sensory boards, and an interactive game projected onto the ground. Sensory Beans' staff don't just walk around cleaning up, by the way. They interact and play with the young ones as well. Accessible equipment is also an integral part of the play space, making it comfortable for children of all abilities.

14. Sippy Cups Cafe – Seaford

For the 6-and-younger crowd, Sippy Cups Cafe offers a wooden climber with slides and peepholes, a train table, a puppet theater, and a cozy reading area. Adults will appreciate the selection of coffees and teas, as well as breakfast, lunch, and snack offerings that include pizza, sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. Check the website for the open play schedule. 

15. Social Play Haus – Plainview

Parents can enjoy a hot coffee or local beer while they watch the kids run and play. Social Play Haus is the perfect name for this Nassau County indoor play space, as it mainly focuses on allowing parents to enjoy social time while they comfortably watch their children play. It also offers private events, making it a great option for those with a guest list of adults and children. 

16. Cradle of Aviation Museum – Garden City

The Junior Jet Club at the Cradle of Aviation Museum is a great indoor play space that's included with admission. There is a small rock climbing structure, large blocks for building, activity boards, and small rocking rides for toddlers. This space is best designed for kids ages 2-6 years old. 

17. Fun and Play Zone – New Hyde Park

While primarily a party place, Fun and Play Zone offers open play sessions on holidays and school breaks. You can also book a private open play session at least a day in advance, with at minimum of five kids. If you have fewer than, there is a flat fee of $150. There are multiple bounce houses and the play area is suited for younger kids.

18. Empire Adventure Park – Westbury

This venue is located inside the Samanea Mall and offers more than 36,000 square feet of fun. The indoor playground features trampolines, a ninja obstacle course, a ropes course, and more. There is also a dedicated toddler zone for the little ones to play. 

19. Madeline's Play Cafe – Glen Cove

This Paris-themed cafe and indoor play space has slides, a ball pit, a beautiful carousel, tables set up for art, a play house with a kitchen, and toys galore. The decor transports you to Paris while the kids climb a rock wall, hop on a ride-along moped, or bounce around in the foam pit. The cafe offers drinks, juice boxes, and pastries at a reasonable price. The space also hosts parties and events. 

20. Oh My Goodness Kids – Garden City, Port Washington

This play cafe features a modern, sleek space for little ones to play and explore. Kids can climb, slide, and enjoy imaginative play. The venue offers open play hours as well as classes. The organic cafe has healthy options for parents, caretakers, and kids. 

21. Nana's Wonderland – Massapequa Park

Kids under the age of 8 will enjoy a colorful ball pit, a ride on a mini carousel, toys to explore, and more at this indoor playground. You can register on the website for a 90-minute open play session. The venue also hosts birthday parties and classes, and there's a cafe where you can grab a snack and relax. 

22. WowMoms World Long Island – Mineola

This play cafe and indoor play space offers open play opportunities as well as preschool prep, events, and party space options. The Wow Cafe has an espresso bar for tired parents to get an energy boost while the kids explore the fun indoor playground and toys.
