The Redondo Pier hosts one of Southern California’s longest-running kite festivals.  Prizes are awarded in various categories from the youngest kite flier to the highest flying kite.

Extras at the event include face painting, a dance performance, and a Taekwondo demonstration.  Entertainment is provided by a DJ and a live musical performance by 1969.

The winner of the annual Hot Dog on a Stick Eating Contest takes home a prize. Bring a kite or buy one there, and join in the fun along the beach.
