Come spring, our family is itching to get active again. After spending three months cooped up inside, we are ready to be out in the sunshine and stretch our legs. Whether nature hikes near Danbury, boat rides in Mystic, or hopping on bikes in Hartford, we're excited! There are tons of fun to have in late March, April, May, and early June. Everything from playgrounds to fishing to ice cream—it all awaits us when the snow melts and your winter clothes finally get put away.

Spring Activities in Connecticut for Kids

1. Visit Flamig Farm for the First Day of Spring

The Wake Up Farm Class at Flamig Farm is geared toward younger kids, with farm-themed fun for the start of spring.

Starting on or around Memorial Day weekend, head to the oldest continuously-operating amusement park.

10. See the new Great Wolf Lodge at Foxwoods

Great Wolf Lodge is opening its first Connecticut location with an indoor water and fun park at Foxwoods.

11. Mini-Golf

Monkey Mayhem Mini Golf at Sonny's Place opens for the season in April.

All throughout April, you can pick your own Daffodils at Halfinger Farms.

15. Elizabeth Park

Some 800 varieties of roses begin blooming here in early June, stop by to take in their beauty and aroma.

16. Opening Day at Adventure Park Ropes Course

Stretch your muscles and zip-line through Adventure Park in Bridgeport and Storrs, or one of the many outdoor ropes courses

17. Soar Like a Super Hero 

The New England Air Museum is powering up to teach kids the Science of Super Heroes.

18. Ansonia Nature Center
