It's Wednesday night, kids are hungry, you are tired from a long day and no one has an idea for dinner. Sound familiar? Well, not too far from you there is probably a place where kids eat free today! Families can order out or eat in at many of these Connecticut restaurants and score free kids' meals, making this a not-too-expensive dinner treat. Pair your free meal with an accompanying activity from our Free Things To Do Guide, and turn this into an affordable family outing.

1. 99 Restaurants — multiple locations 

This makes a baseball fan out of anyone! Kids eat free the day after the Red Sox win with the purchase of an adult entree. Kids can choose from a hot dog, pasta, grilled cheese, junior burger—you name it!

 

2. Cilantro Fresh — New Haven

This delightful spot for authentic Mexican fare has specials for Taco Tuesday and frequently offers "Kids Eat Free" nights, for dine-in only. Check the restaurant's Facebook page for news on upcoming promotions.

3. Terra Gaucha —Stamford

This Brazilian steakhouse has plenty to offer the carnivore in your family. Kids 5 and under eat free, while kids 6 to 12 are half-price.

4. Love Meat - Stamford

Get all you can eat (and a great deal!) by visiting this Korean BBQ. Kids ages 4 to 8 eat for half price, while kids 3 and under are FREE.

5. Moe's Southwest Grill — multiple locations 

Moe's kicked off a "Kids Eat Free" program in 2021. Kids under 12 years old can get a free meal on Sundays with the purchase of an adult entree.

At the Smashburger chain, kids can eat free on Wednesdays. This deal is valid with the purchase of one adult entree.

IHOP has kids eat free nights every evening at participating locations.

9. Denny's — multiple locations

Kids Eat Free days vary by location, but always consist of a free kids' meal with the purchase of an adult entree of at least $6 or more. Valid for dine-in only. Kids can choose from pancakes, chicken tenders, mini corn dogs, chicken on a stick, and much more.

10. Chili's — multiple locations

Kids eat free if you are a Chili's rewards member. Chili's kids' menu includes burger bites, chicken bites, cheese quesadilla, pizza, and to top it off, chocolate lava cake. 

11. Applebee's — multiple locations

Become a member of Applebee's Bookworm Reading Club and read 10 books, then get a free meal with the purchase of an adult meal. Choose from pizza, tenders, chicken alfredo, tacos, or cheeseburger.
