Hayrides in Connecticut - Hartford-Area

1. Foster Farm
South Windsor 

Relax on a hayride and play in the courtyard. Kids can visit the goats, navigate a mini maze, or try to escape the full-sized corn maze. The concession stand is open on weekends, but pumpkins and mums are sold every day. Foster Farm is a family-friendly place with lots and lots to do!

2. Westmoor Park
West Hartford

Cozy up in the hay and enjoy a scenic tractor-pulled ride along the trails. The Pumpkin Special runs every Saturday. Roast marhmallows around the campfire, and enjoy the sunset too. 

3. Brown's Harvest
Windsor

Piled high with pumpkins everywhere you turn, Brown's offers kids a huge, impressive corn maze and a small hay maze which is less of a challenge. Also weekend entertainment, duck races and barrel rides. 

4. Farmer's Hayride
Broad Brook

Opening weekend for hayrides is in late September, and there's a lot to do at Farmer's Hayride—including hayrides! Pick your pumpkins, meet characters in costume, walk the sunflower maze, and feed the dairy cows.

Wallingford

The Wallingford Scarecrow Festival is a cozy, country fair! Enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch. The fair features a bounce house, face painting, fun and games, and delicious cuisine from local establishments and food trucks.

6. Jones Family Farm
Shelton

Celebrate the harvest at Jones Family Farm. Choose a lovely, bright orange pumpkin and enjoy the Market Yard which has animals, fall flowers and a hayride for the whole family. Open through October. 

7. Ambler Farm Day
Wilton 

Join the festivities of Ambler Farm Day and enjoy hayrides, apple slingshot, farm animals, children's crafts, a pumpkin patch, and more. You can also hitch a hayride (registration required) on Fright Night, which will take place on late October weekends.

Take a hayride every Sunday during the months of September and October. The ride will circle the beautiful orchards and fields. Grab some hot, apple cider donuts and pick out your perfect orange pumpkin for carving, all in one place!

11. Scott's Yankee Farmer
East Lyme

Scott's Yankee Farmer is open every day of the week, but weekends are when you can catch a ride on the hay wagon. Their farm store is packed with fresh veg and fruit, but they also have homemade apple cinnamon donuts.
