Free and Affordable Summer Camps Near Orlando

1. Camp Boggy Creek - Eustis

Free for children with chronic or life threatening illnesses
At Camp Boggy Creek, children with chronic or life threatening illnesses are provided with a full week of traditional summer camp fun, free of charge. Camp weeks are scheduled so that children with like illnesses are together. This residential camp is open to kids with a qualifying medical diagnosis. Applications are available now.

2. Camp Wewa - Apopka

$150 per week for City of Apopka residents
The City of Apopka offers summer camp for children ages 8-14 through Camp Wewa. Camp Wewa features activities such as arts and crafts, athletics, challenge course, drama, ecology, water activities, and more. Camp dates are June 3-July 26, 2024. Hours are 7:30am-5:30pm.

3. City of Orlando - Multiple Locations

2024 rates yet to be released
The City of Orlando’s Recreation Summer Camp includes indoor and outdoor activities such as yoga, art, Lego challenges, karate, improv, and more. Camp is open to kids ages 5-14 years old, entering first through eighth grade. Camp runs weekly throughout the summer, from 7:30am-5:30pm. 

4. City of Winter Park

2024 rates yet to be released
The City of Winter Park offers Summer Fun Camp for incoming first-fifth graders, as well as Middle School Camp for incoming sixth-eighth graders. Weekly summer camp takes place May 28-August 9, 2024. Camp hours are 7:30am-6pm.

5. Maitland Parks and Rec

$185 per week for Maitland residents and non-residents
The City of Maitland Parks and Rec is offering Yoga & Arts at Maitland Community Park. Campers enjoy a yoga class with a focus on creativity. Camp is for kids ages 7-11 and runs from 9am-1pm. Camp is offered weekly from June 10-July 19, 2024. 

6. Ocoee Parks and Recreation

Initial payment of $35 is due at registration, subsequent payments due the Wednesday before each session start
Ocoee’s summer camp program runs June 3-August 9, 2024 at the Jim Beech Recreation Center. Camp includes daily group activities and free play. Each week’s activities is geared around a fun theme and meals are included. Campers will swim each Friday. Camp is open to kids ages 6-12, and registration is open now and runs until the program is full.

7. Seminole County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) PAL Camp - Sanford

$90 per week
The SCSO PAL (Police Athletic League) Camp is a community program with a goal of providing low cost, safe, and supervised summer camp activities for youth ages 5-14. Camp dates are weekly from May 28-July 26, 2024. Application deadline is May 17, UNLESS capacity is reached prior to this date. Kids do not have to reside in Seminole County to participate.

8. St. Cloud Parks and Recreation 

$100 per week for Osceola County residents ($110 per week for non-residents)
Kids ages 5-12 can participate in St. Cloud’s summer camp program. Camp hours are 7am-6pm. 

9. UCP Charter Schools Summer Learning Academy

Free for current UCP charter students or newly enrolled students
Summer Learning Academy is a free program offered for currently enrolled UCP Charter students or students enrolled for the upcoming fall semester. This program features a customized learning experience with projects, arts, and field trips and runs 8:30am-2:30pm. The school also offers free summer VPK (voluntary pre-kindergarten) for rising kindergarteners who have not participated in a VPK program during the school year.

10. Winter Garden Parks and Recreation

$130 per week for Winter Garden residents ($160 per week for non-residents)
Summer day camp with the City of Winter Garden runs from May 28-August 9, 2024. Camp is offered to children entering first through eighth grade. A limited number of scholarships based on income eligibility are available. Sibling discounts available.

YMCA of Central Florida offers tons of summer camp activities, including arts and crafts.

11. YMCA of Central Florida - Various Locations

From $155 per week for members
Several Central Florida YMCA locations offer summer day camps for kids in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Daily camp activities include arts and crafts, athletics, and choice-based interest tracks, with new themes each week.
