Decker Farm Pumpkin Picking Weekends
- see all dates
Also on October 14, 2024.
Head to Historic Richmond Town to enjoy a day filled with family fun on the historic early-1800s Decker Farm. Visit the pumpkin patch, chuck a pumpkin, enjoy photo-ops, a kid-sized hay maze, and more.
Pumpkin Patch: Pick pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. Complete with photo-ops and fall decorations. (Additional $, pumpkins priced by weight).
Children’s Hay Maze: Don’t worry, grown-ups! You can keep an eye on the kiddos as they try to solve a maze made completely of hay bales.
Pumpkin Chucking: Release your frustration and use the newly installed bungee system to hurl pumpkins. How far can your pumpkin go? ($3 for three chucks. Purchase tickets at the Snack Wagon).
Fall Photo Ops: Strike a pose and snap a pic on the hayride photo op sponsored by Weisner Bros. Nursery, and hay bale photo op at the main entrance, each festively decorated for the season.
Educational Activities: Throughout the month, you can learn about daily life on a 19th-century farm, including soap making and laundry demonstrations, enjoy the smell and taste of historical recipes brought to life by historical interpreters and tradespeople, and see tools and trades like those used by farmers on Staten Island before the 20th century.
Purchase timed entry tickets online, in advance.
