Did you know almost everyone in the early 19th century had at least one garment that was custom-made for them by a skilled tradesperson like a mantua-maker (dressmaker) or tailor? Interact with historical interpreters and learn about how mantua-makers made things like gowns and jackets for New Yorkers. See how a garment was made from beginning to end, then try one on yourself!

Purchase tickets online in advance. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
