Green Thumb's annual celebration honors thousands of community gardeners and greening professionals across New York City for their work during the season and gives them the opportunity to show off their harvests.

Activities for all ages include workshops, cooking demonstrations by Happy Healthy Latina, music, yoga, games, and more.

Event Schedule 
Noon – 12:30pm: Live DJ
12:30 – 12:45pm: Welcome remarks
1 – 2pm: "Fresh Chef Contest” featuring chef, cookbook author, and New York Times contributor Sohla El-Waylly
1 – 2:15pm: "Willow Weaving and Dreaming” with Aresh Javadi
2 – 2:30pm: Performance by Czech Marionette Theater
2:30 – 2:40pm: "Fresh Chef Contest” Winners Announcement
2:45 – 3:15pm: "Shape Up NYC” performance
3:15 – 4pm: Live DJ

Rain Date: In case of severe weather, a smaller scale event will take place at El Jardin del Paraiso on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
