The Dumbo Improvement District hosts its annual Dumbo Holiday Lighting ceremony, with all the trimmings. Enjoy live music, carols, hot cocoa, and an appearance from Santa himself.

NOTE: This event was postponed due to weather, originally scheduled for December 11.

• SANTA CLAUS. All the way from the North Pole, with elves in tow
• Photobooth from the Self Portrait Project.
• HOLIDAY COVERS. By Curtis J. Social and the Dumbo house band
• CHEERS. Performances by PS307 and Dock Street Middle School students.
• HOT COCOA & SWEET TREATS. Generously donated by Dumbo businesses.
• MULLED WINE! And mulled cider, for sale at The Archway Bar.
• HOLIDAY PROJECTIONS. Animated videos celebrate the spirit of holidays, created specially for us by the award-winning, DUMBO-based animation studio, Augenblick Studios.
• TOY DRIVE. Bring an unwrapped toy for a child ages 0 to 14, to be added to the 84th Precinct’s Operation Sleigh Ride.
• COAT DRIVE. Bring an old coat in good condition–all sizes welcome! – for 84th Precinct x New York Cares Coat Drive this season.
• FOOD DRIVE. Bring packaged non-perishables for the Vinegar Hill Pantry Food Drive.

  Letters to Santa can also be dropped off at a special mailbox in the Pearl Street Triangle. Those who have a wishlist that can be sourced in Dumbo may be the recipient of $100 Dumbo Dollars to spend in the neighborhood as an early holiday gift.
