Bike Rodeos BikeSafe at The Underline
- see all dates
Also on February 22, 2025; March 15, 2025.
Join BikeSafe and The Underline for a day of fun and exploring your ability to bike at the Bike Rodeo. These bike rodeos teach kids bicycle handling and safety skills.
Bike rodeos are bring your own bike events. The program features bicycle “driving” courses, in a safe and protected environment, designed to simulate actual roadway situations commonly encountered by bicyclists. A bike rodeo is an effective way to involve parents, teachers and civic and community groups in helping young children learn how to ride safely. They also provide a social and interactive way to reinforce safe bicycling skills. Such skills emphasized and practiced in a bicycle rodeo often include: starting and stopping, using hand signals, scanning for traffic without weaving, making turns, safe maneuvering, entering a roadway safely, avoiding hazards, and balancing.
- Bike repair stations
