On Easter Sunday, many New York City families enjoy a neighborhood Easter egg hunt or mingle about at the wildly popular Easter Bonnet Parade and Festival. But there are plenty of other things to do in NYC on Easter Sunday.

1. Easter Bonnet Parade and Festival

Don your best hat and head to the Easter Bonnet Parade and Festival to marvel at the millinery. FREE

2. Enchanted Easter Buffet

The Peninsula New York pulls out all the stops for this sumptuous Easter brunch. Kids have their own buffet to peruse, and everyone appreciates the over-the-top dessert bar and visit from the Easter Bunny.

3. New York International Auto Show

Occupying more than four floors of displays, the 2025 New York International Auto Show showcases an impressive collection of more than 700 vehicles from the world’s automakers, featuring the newest vehicles and latest futuristic concept cars.

4. Easter at CMOM

Craft your own bunny ears, learn how to weave a basket, join an egg hunt, hear live music, and more during Easter at the Children's Museum of Manhattan.

5. Peeps Brunch at Serendipity3

Book your reservation now and nosh on a special Peeps-themed Easter brunch at this over-the-top cafe. Everything is pastel and candy-coated, including a special Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate topped with a cotton candy nest, jelly bean eggs, and—you guessed it—a pink Peep. Make sure you pop upstairs to take a pic on the Peeps thrown.

6. New York Botanical Garden

Visit the New York Botanical Garden, where you can walk through Daffodil Hill, check out the Orchid Show, or explore the rest of the family-friendly fun therein.

7. Easter Sunday Service

St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery flings open its doors for a joyful celebration at 11am and follows the church service with an egg hunt in the West Garden.

8. See the Animals

The Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, Staten Island Zoo, and New York Aquarium are all open on Easter Sunday. Beyond spring babies and sprawling exhibits, you can also get up close to dinos at the Bronx Zoo as its Dinosaur Safari roars back to life just in time for the holiday.

9. Visit a Destination Playground

10. Easter Egg Hunt

Gather up the kids and head to one of NYC's Easter egg hunts happening on Easter Sunday, like those at Broadway Lounge or in Queens' Alley Pond Park.

13. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Stella 34 Trattoria

Plan your visit to Macy's—and your reservations—to coincide with this fancy, family-style affair, and don't forget to dress in your Easter finery because the Easter Bunny is on-hand to pose for pictures.

14. Easter Bunny Hop

Get your groove on at The Easter Bunny Hop featuring an egg scavenger hunt, a sing-along, and after-show photos with the Easter Bunny.

15. MOYA at the New Victory Theater

It's an action-packed circus story unfurled on stage when Zip Zap Circus brings MOYA to the New Vic. Enjoy an uplifting, vibrant celebration of South African culture during this 70-minute show.

16. Wave Hill

Head to Riverdale to explore the beautiful Wave Hill. This 28-acre public garden offers spectacular views of the Hudson River and sprawling grassy lawns where guests are encouraged to play and relax.

The Brooklyn Children's Museum is a tot wonderland with exhibits including Totally Tots, World Brooklyn, Neighborhood Nature, and The Nest.
