Looking for the best things to do in Houston this Thanksgiving weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for this weekend.

As always, the City of Houston is putting on its amazing Thanksgiving Day Parade. And, if you have family in town, consider taking them to experience a Holiday Boat Cruise on Buffalo Bayou – it’s an event that is uniquely Houston! The Houston Ballet's The Nutcracker opens this weekend, but if your kids are still too little to sit through theater, take them to find that perfect tree at Froberg's Tree Farm opening weekend.

If you decide last minute that you don't want to cook, we have lots of kid-friendly restaurants open on Thanksgiving. You can also find all things Thanksgiving in our Thanksgiving Activities Guide - everything from themed crafts to recipes and more.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Mommy Poppins Houston team!
