Inspired by the iconic Blinn’s Toys store that operated in Bridgeport and Fairfield from 1933 to 2015, Welcome to the Toyshop! brings the sense of wonder we have all experienced while shopping in a toy store to the Fairfield Museum.
The immersive exhibition showcases toy sewing machines, trains, tea sets, and other historic toys from the Museum’s collection alongside opportunities for play in a whimsical toyshop setting. Explore the exhibition and discover how toys have evolved from their counterparts in the 1800s and 1900s to the toys and games we know today.
