Spring Bird Breakfast at the Audubon

Join the Audubon for one of their traditional events to celebrate the start of May and the peak of spring migration. Following our Spring Migration Bird Tours at 7 a.m., complimentary breakfast will be served at the Asnes Barn. Materials on bird migration will be available for all attendees and naturalists will be on hand to point out the many colorful migratory birds that will be singing around us.
There will be live bird banding demonstrations by Audubon CT Director of Bird Conservation, Corrie Folsom-O'Keefe. Starting at 8:30 a.m. and throughout the breakfast period have the special opportunity to observe migrating songbirds up close while being handled by licensed bird banders to learn about the important research bird banding provides us for conservation efforts.
Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. following our Spring Migration Bird Tours.
This event is co-sponsored by the Connecticut Ornithological Association, an all volunteer organization with the mission of promoting interest in Connecticut birds, and collecting, preparing, and disseminating the best available scientific information on the status of Connecticut birds and their habitat. - Program Fee: Admission is FREE but donations are encouraged. Your contributions help support our conservation work, including advocating for the protection of birds and the habitats they depend on for survival.
