Unwrap the magic of the city at Taunton's Lighting of the Green & 2023 Lights On Festival for this annual, community-loved celebration featuring live entertainment, kids' activities, fireworks, and a magical display of holiday lights on the historic Taunton Green.

2023 marks the 110th Lighting of the Taunton Green and the City of Taunton, known as The Christmas City, is excited to welcome visitors from near and far to celebrate this beloved community tradition.

During the month of December, after the Festival, the Christmas City has much to offer visitors & locals. Visitors can enjoy the holiday lights display on the Taunton Green through New Years Day.

Santa is in his house on the Taunton Green on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 5-8 PM. Pictures are complimentary and families may also bring cameras from home. ​

New for 2023, Victorian Carolers will be strolling on the Taunton Green on Friday & Saturday evenings.

Plus, many downtown businesses decorate their storefronts for the annual Holiday Window Decorating Contest.
