Outdoor Fun Guide for Boston Families
One of the things we love most about Boston is that the city and surrounding towns are blessed with lots of green spaces. Many of our favorite places in the city are urban oases where families can explore nature and get plenty of fresh air and exercise: Blue Hills Reservation, The Arnold Arboretum, Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, The Esplanade, Boston Common & Public Garden, Castle Island, Franklin Park, and the Boston Harbor Islands. And that's just in the city! Only a short drive away, nature's playgrounds await families looking for adventure.
We get outdoors with our kid as often as we can, and we have plenty of tales to tell and gems to share. From hiking and biking trails to beaches and barnyards, it's all here in this guide to outdoor family fun for Boston families.
