Fall Festival at the Arnold Arboretum

Celebrate autumn at the Arboretum at the first Fall Festival since 2008! Explore the eeriest elements of the Arboretum landscape for Halloween: poisonous plants, creepy insects, and oozing mushrooms, and learn how to identify poison ivy once and for all.
Enjoy live music from the Catnip Junkies while you paint a miniature pumpkin or look through our digital microscopes. Ask a horticulturist your most burning plant questions, or find out what questions researchers are working to answer in their labs and the field. Dress the family dog in their Halloween best and enter them into our Spooky Pooch Costume Contest, and win prizes in categories like most creative and most botanical.
Plus family activities, lawn games, merch, and more! More information to come, but make sure to save the date now. Registration is preferred, but not required.
Accessibility: This event takes place on pavement and mowed grass.
