Hale Education

Summer in New England: It’s about jumping into local ponds, playing lawn games with friends, barbecuing with neighbors, and taking the kiddos to swimming lessons. Hale’s Family & Community Program makes it easy to do all this and more. Conveniently located just minutes from Rte. 128, it’s clear why so many young families make it part of their summer routines. With unparalleled access to 1,200+ acres of adventure, this secluded spot to disconnect offers a private waterfront with access to boats, paddles, life jackets, and rinse stations; an archery range, obstacle course, playgrounds, pavilions, and picnic areas; and events including campouts, hikes, and movie nights. In addition to open swimming for passholders, à la carte Swimming Lessons are available, too.

Many parents spend summers with their youngest children in the Family & Community Program so by the time kids reach age 4, they are excited to venture into Hale Summer Camps on their own. These ACA-accredited programs take safety seriously. One-week Pre-Camp Programs are a great introduction for littles and adventurous offerings in hiking and mountain biking appeal to older kids. Teen Camp offers laidback sessions that include canoe competitions, time on the ropes course and archery range, an overnight campout, and a trip to Nantasket Beach. Youth Leadership Development Programs prepare future counselors, guides, and coaches with industry-recognized certifications, extended backpacking trips in the White Mountains, and more. Hale provides free bus service, too.
