There are lots of great family-friendly (and pet-friendly!) beer gardens in and around the city that are perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Year-Round Establishments
Frankford Hall — Fishtown
This family-friendly spot is known for hosting epic events featuring Lara and Joe and holiday festivities (like meet and greets with Santa). The outdoor area is perfect for summer days, but is also heated in the winter.
Fette Sau — Fishtown
Conveniently located right next to Frankford Hall, this spot is really a go-to for delicious BBQ, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful with the kids. Also, one of the best happy hours in the city all year long!
You can't beat the gorgeous views and tacos at Cherry Street Beer Garden.
Cherry Street Beer Garden — Old City
Enjoy a drink with a side of water views! This outdoor area is typically open Tuesdays-Sundays, but check their Facebook page for closures and additional openings. Kids will love the treats from French Toast Bites and you'll love the frozen cocktails.
Philadelphia Brewing Company — Fishtown
PBC's outdoor beer garden is kid and pup-friendly! With a handful of yard games and plenty of open space, kids are sure to find something to entertain them. Check their Facebook page for weather closures and food truck schedules.
Unleashed at Craft Hall — Northern Liberties
Craft Hall has turned their outdoor beer garden into a dog park! Your kids will love hanging with all the pups while you have a beer, or head inside where they can play on the indoor playground.

Summer-Only Spaces
The Yard at South Bowl — South Philly
Featuring batting cages, corn hole, a pool table, shuffleboard, arcade games, and more, this beer garden is the perfect place to keep kids happy while you relax with a drink! If it gets too hot, head inside to bowl a few frames! The delicious food seals the deal at this spot.
Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest — Penn's Landing
This beer garden features an outdoor roller rink, amazing views, amusement park rides and games, and yummy bites that young and old will enjoy.
Independence Beer Garden — Washington Square
In the summer, the 30,000 square-foot outdoor area of One South Independence Mall West is a beer garden that is largely for an older crowd, but with the proximity to Independence Hall its also a good place to stop after a day of being a tourist, with yummy snacks like popcorn and pigs-in-a-blanket, favorites for young and old!
The Watering Hole at Philadelphia Zoo — Fairmount
Now the zoo can be your favorite place to go, too! Everything about the location says family-friendly.
PHS Pop-up Beer Garden — South Philly
The Philadelphia Horticultural Society is back at 15th and South Streets featuring a beautiful, blooming backdrop. This one is kid and pet friendly and is scheduled to be open through at least October. Follow along on social media for more updates.
Spruce Street Harbor Park — Penn's Landing
Spruce Street Harbor Park is a favorite summer activity. The space features a floating bar, tons of games and two water features for kids to splash around in on hot days. Not to mention the boardwalk with arcade games and a Franklin Fountain outpost.
Stop in Puddler's Kitchen & Tap for a pint for the adults and a signature flatbread for everyone, like the BBQ Chicken Flatbread.
Outside the City
The Creamery — Kennett Square
The Creamery is open year-round Thursday through Sunday. This expansive outdoor beer garden also has an indoor area. It's dog friendly and kid friendly with games and other fun, including the newly added Bark Barn and a special children's area that they just recently remodeled. Check the site for food truck and music schedules.
Puddler's Kitchen & Tap — Bridgeport
The beer garden at Puddler's features river views and delicious brews from Conshohocken Brewing Co.
Sly Fox at The Grove — Malvern
The Grove is at the center of a few businesses including Sly Fox. Enjoy yard games, a relaxing atmosphere, and a large stage for entertainment.
Ship Bottom Beer Garden at Linvilla — Media
Take a break from picking your own fruit or visiting the farm animals with a Ship Bottom brew at the beer garden at Linvilla! The beer garden is open in spring and summer. Kids can enjoy corn hole and giant Connect-4 boards.
Beer Garden at Longwood — Kennett Square
