On select days throughout the year, all national parks are open to the public with no admission fee. Though participating locations are scattered nationwide, there are several such attractions in the Philadelphia area.

These include Valley Forge, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell Center, Edgar Allan Poe home, Delaware Water Gap, and the Benjamin Franklin Museum.

June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
August 4: Great American Outdoors Act
September 28: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day
