OUR LATEST VIDEOS
Family Friendly Manhattan Restaurants:
Big Daddy's (UES and Gramercy locations) - A totally family friendly joint with a retro diner vibe that caters to kids.
California Pizza Kitchen (UES) - We love their kids menu!
Blue Smoke (116 E 27th St) - We love this great BBQ place for brunch. So much space there. Never a problem with a child.
Landmarc in the Time Warner Center - They have tons of highchairs and always cater to even the tiniest for whatever you need from them, while we enjoy some great food.
The Diner (14th St and 9th Av) - A hip NY diner. They gave the kids crayons and bracelets, and plastic safari cups to take home, and the meal choices are pretty varied. They also make an awesome veggie burger!
Metro Diner (100th and Broadway) - A great breakfast place that is kid friendly.
GOBO (UES and West Village) - Delicious vegetarian cuisine.
Brasserie Julien on the upper east side- great adult menu and kids menu and you feel like you're in a grown up restaurant that knows how to make kids feel special!
Lansky's on Amsterdam Avenue - Old World Jewish Deli. A great place to bring kids for dinner. They have a kids menu, big round tables to sit at and the staff is great with kids.
Two Boots Pizza (Various Locations) It's super kid friendly. They have big screen TV's and lots of space during the day and early evening for kids, as the adult crowd arrives later for dinner.
Burger Heaven on Lexington Avenue at 62nd Street. Great burgers and American food. Caters to kids.
S'MAC in the East Village - What kid doesn't love Mac N Cheese!!
Jing Fong on Elizabeth Street for Dim Sum - The food is delicious. You can order from carts, off the menu or from cook tables. Just thinking about it makes me hungry.
Family Friendly Brooklyn Restaurants:
Sapporo in Bay Ridge between 78th and 79th Streets on 3rd Avenue - Great Japanese food. The owners (Jennifer and Jimmy) have children of their own and are most understanding when my daughter gets a little over excited.
Baci & Abbracci in Williamsburg - They never have a wait, they have large paper table cloths and crayons so that the kids don't get bored, they love kids and they make one heck of an omelet.
Applewood in Park Slope - It is an incredible high-end dining experience, yet it is 100% kid friendly, down to plenty of high chairs and even adorable child size plates and forks and, of course, they are happy to make something off the menu for the little one. It is almost too good to be true.
Pizza Plus in Park Slope - Super-family friendly.
The Moxie Spot Unfortunately, Moxie Spot closed in December 2014. Nat's the best, and it's clean enough I wouldn't bat an eyelash if the kids are rolling on the ground. They also have great events and movie nights. Great birthday party locale also!!! Open all day, lots of stuff for kids to do, kid friendly menu, inviting space that's safe so parents can actually relax and have a meal, and a great staff. We've spent many an afternoon there.
Family Friendly Queens Restaurants:
Nick's Pizza in Forest Hills - great "fresh brick oven" style pizza. The service is good. The place itself is cozy and nice. The staff is very friendly to kids!!!
Espresso 77 in Jackson Heights, Queens - A family-friendly coffee place. They have all kinds of fancy coffees for grown ups (outbids the fancy brands) and delicious caffeine free teas for the kids or a warm chocolate! We like to stop by after a visit to Travis Park (77 st between 34 ave and Northern blvd). Espresso 77 has a basket of books for children to read while warming up with a nice drink, perfect before "nap time"
