Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts
Summer 2025 Dates: See website
1-, 4-, and 8-week Sessions Available
For over 60 years, Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts has provided children currently in grades K-12 from NYC and Long Island the chance to joyfully express their creativity amidst the beauty of nature.
Students choose from 50+ courses in the creative and performing arts, as well as Chess, Nature, and classic summer camp activities, to design schedules that suit their talents and interests. Classes are led by professional artists—actors, directors, playwrights, painters, musicians, composers, dancers, poets—and experienced arts educators to ensure students receive top-tier training in five art disciplines—Art, Creative Writing, Dance, Music, and Theater—and three specialty areas—Chess, Nature & Sustainability, and Recreational Arts.
Set in the woods, Usdan’s 140-acre campus provides a welcoming and wonder-filled environment where students can be themselves and feel at ease. Over 70 open-air studios and performance spaces dot Usdan’s wooded campus, along with impressive recreational facilities—3 swimming pools, an archery range, and yoga platforms. Every afternoon, students gather in Usdan’s 900-seat amphitheater for inspiring, live performances starring professional artists or to witness a performance of their peers.
At Usdan, young artists form meaningful connections with each other and their artform and develop the ability to pursue their artistic dreams with joy and confidence.
Offerings include 4- and 8-week arts programs for students currently in grades K-12 and 1-week recreational programs for students currently in grades 2-8. Bus transportation from Long Island and New York City to Usdan's day camp in Wheatley Heights is included in tuition. Inquire about generous scholarships and tuition assistance packages!
