Kids 'N Comedy
If your kid is hilarious and quirky, always cracking jokes or making funny observations, then Kids ’N Comedy Summer Camp is perfect for them. Give your kids a chance to hone their comedic talents and learn from others while having a blast. Campers are invited to one, two or three two weeks of summer learning to write their own stand-up comedy from New York City professional comedians. All sessions culminate with a graduation show where students will perform live on stage at the legendary Gotham Comedy Club.
Camp Kids 'N Comedy is the only place that funny kids can learn to write and perform their own original stand-up comedy routines. Spend 2 weeks of your summer learning from professional comics and actors to do improv, reenact scenes from your favorite sketch-comedy shows or write your own sketches and cap it off with your own stand-up comedy show at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City to be performed the last day of each two week session for family and friends. Classes are taught by professional stand-up comics, improvisors and acting teachers. A casting director or someone from the industry or from a major network will attend the last sketch comedy class. Camp runs in 2 week sessions from Monday - Friday from noon until 4 PM. Kids can attend one, two or three sessions. For dates consult the website.
During the school year Kids 'N Comedy holds classes to teach kids to write and perform stand-up comedy in an 8 or 9 week series with a graduation show for friends and families the last day of the session. The classes run on the weekends for 2 hours in 3 separate classes for beginners and advanced comics on Saturday and Sundays
Parents of new students, please call 212-877-6115 for an audition phone call. Please request an application after the audition call.
