MLK Day Community Gathering and Art Making

Mon Jan 20, 2025
1:00pm to 3:00pm ET
Age: All
Price: Free
Location:
Art Council of Princeton

This free gathering offers the opportunity and materials to create artwork that motivates and educates on topics of social justice, honoring Dr. Martin Luther King’s life’s work. This free art-making workshop is led by artist Tamara Torres.

Participants spend ten minutes creating freely on a sheet of paper, allowing themselves to express their feelings without the constraints of perfection, rules, or judgment. Afterward, they are challenged to tear up their paper and use the pieces to create a new collage that represents a different perspective.

Bring canned and/or shelf-stable pantry items to fill the accessible Food Pantry coordinated in partnership with Send Hunger Packing Princeton.

Register online.
