On the first Saturday of each month, the Sugar Sand Park Science Explorium adjusts the lights and sounds throughout, creating a sensory-modified setting for all kids to have an opportunity to explore the venue in a way that makes them most comfortable.

To help make the museum more accessible, sensory kits are available for check out at the museum welcome desk.  These bags include noise reduction headphones, feelings and emotions cards, light reduction glasses and fidget/relaxation toys.
