When school is out, The MATT is the place to be! Join us for an exciting day-long experience where children will explore the Museum’s galleries and special exhibitions while developing their creativity with hands-on art projects.  Kids will explore different artistic themes while engaging with the Museum’s galleries, special exhibitions, and hands-on creative activities during each session of School’s Out. Coming up are weeklong School’s Out sessions during April and Summer breaks.

Dates:

Week of April 14- Spring Break: During spring break, kids will enjoy hands-on art-making, interactive gallery experiences, and exciting activities that spark creativity and exploration.

Week of June 30- Marvelous Me: Kick off summer with a celebration of YOU! Kids will create self-portraits and personal storytelling projects, exploring their unique identities through art. Museum is not open on July 4.

Week of July 7 – Mini MIXMASTER: Dive into a variety of artistic styles and techniques, just like the masters!

Week of July 14 – Georgia’s Garden: Discover the vibrant world of Georgia O’Keeffe and create nature-inspired art.

Week of July 21 – Melodic Masterpieces: Explore the connection between music and visual art with rhythm-inspired creations.

Week of July 28 – Capes & Canvases: A Superhero Spectacular: Design your own superhero and bring their story to life through art.

Week of August 4 – Surprise Session! Stay tuned for an exciting mystery theme to close out the summer!

Early Drop-Off & Late Pickup Included – FREE!

Parents can take advantage of our complimentary early drop-off (8:00 AM – 9:30 AM) and late pickup (3:30 PM – 5:00 PM).

This engaging program allows children to immerse themselves in art, history, and creative expression, making for a perfect school-day alternative. All supplies are provided—just bring a bagged lunch!

*For just $30 per child, the Kids Adventure Pass provides year-round access to engaging programs and activities through December 31, 2025. Passholders receive free admission to a variety of programs, plus exclusive discounts and perks. Kids adventure passholders receive a 50% discount to the School’s Out Program.
