Mother's Day brunch is a great way to celebrate Mom, who deserves the finest food in Chicago. Plus, moms always need a break from thinking about food, shopping for food, preparing food, and cleaning up after meals. So take her out! Upscale Chicago Restaurants to Indulge Mom for Mother's Day Brunch 2025

1. Prime & Provisions—Loop

This steakhouse buffet has everything a mom (and kids) could want, from a made-to-order waffle bar with chicken or bacon to an omelet station with filet tips and rock shrimp to a dessert Ferris wheel. The $95 per adult and $35 does not include drinks, but moms can grab a sip at the cash bar.

2. Il Porcellino—River North

Dine in or carry out from this River North restaurant. The Mother's Day special menu for dine-in includes Stuffed Squash Blossoms with spicy marinara, Crab Linguine al limone and a Almond Ricotta Tart, or families can order their favorite Italian classics from the regular menu. The restaurant opens at noon on Mother's Day for extra celebration time.

2. Osteria Via Stato—River North

This perennial Mother's Day brunch favorite is offering a brunch buffet for $78.95 per adult or $39.95 per kid. Kids five and under eat free. The buffet will include fun stations serving made-to-order omelets, antipasti, ciabatta French toast, and Slagel Farms meats carved tableside. 

3. Tapas Valencia and Meson Sabika—South Loop and Naperville

Meson Sabika (located in a historic mansion and garden near downtown Naperville) and its sister restaurant Tapas Valencia, (in an artistic location in the South Loop) are offering their traditional menu of Spanish tapas, along with Mother's Day specials that include $5 sparkling wine and mimosas all day or a four-course meal featuring hot and cold tapas and an entree for $89 per person. Ask about vegetarian or young adults menus for special pricing.

4. Lucille Restaurant at Drury Lane—Oak Brook

This suburban theater also offers a massive buffet for Mother's Day brunch. Visit carving and omelet stations, a dessert table, and a children's corner filled with sweet treats. Reservations are limited with adults paying $115 per person while kids 2-12 pay $40. The price includes unlimited champagne and a flower cart for kids to make mom her own bouquet.

5. Adorn Bar & Restaurant—Gold Coast

This restaurant inside the Four Seasons Hotel uses its culinary talents to put on an indulgent Mother's Day Brunch Buffet, a spectacular that includes live entertainment and children's activities. The brunch includes floral arrangements, live music, and more for mom. The price is $275 per adult and $74 per child.

6. Travelle at the Langham—River North

If it's only the best for your mom, treat her to a luxury brunch buffet or pre-fixe dinner at Travelle. The opulent brunch includes unlimited champagne, mimosas, luxurious seafood, petite pastries, a chocolate waterfall, and a live acoustic duo for $85-$285 per person.

7. City Cruises Mother's Day Brunch—Navy Pier

Take Mother's Day brunch to Lake Michigan or the Chicago River on a city cruise! Choose from early brunch, late brunch, or dinner with a buffet or plated meal. The cruise includes architectural narration and a DJ to add to the usual fun of eating and enjoying a day on the water.

8. Marisol Chicago—Streeterville

Moms who love art might enjoy a three-course pre-fixe brunch at Marisol Chicago inside of the Museum of Contemporary Art. Also, a reservation at the restaurant gets you into the museum for free art viewing before or after your meal. The museum is offering 2-for-1 admission for walk-up tickets for the day.

9. Chicago Botanic Garden—Glencoe

Enjoy an indulgent Mother's Day brunch buffet including carving stations, a made-to-order omelet station, kids choices and more as well as taking a walk through the gardens or greenhouse before or after your brunch seating! Mom will love getting pictures with flowers she doesn't actually have to take care of.

10. Fitzgerald's Night Club—Berwyn

If your mom is a little bit country, bring her to Fitzgerald's for music from bluegrass musicians The Box Band and barbecue from Babygold Barbecue. The patio of this Berwyn venue frequiently hosts family friendly events and can be a lot of fun for the whole family.

This west suburban resort and spa hosts an annual jazz brunch for Mother's Day. Enjoy an indulgent spread of  culinary stations-raw bar, carving, omelet, and pastry station—and bottomless mimosas. Bar service is available for the grown-ups.

12. Brookfield Zoo Chicago—Brookfield

See some animals and eat some brunch at Brookfield Zoo Chicago on Mother's Day! The buffet includes a carving station and omelette station, croissant and bagel board, fresh fruits and salads, a spread of desserts, and more. Live music, bottomless mimosas, and a special Mother's Day gift round out the fun.

Who says dads get to have all the fun at the grill? Moms can enjoy this chef-guided experience to learn how to make everything from cinnamon rolls to Caesar salad to grilled pancakes at this Lombard outpost devoted to grilling. 

14. SPIN Chicago—Downtown

We used to take my mom bowling on Mother's Day, but now I'm hoping my kids will take me for a round of ping pong! This State Street table tennis joint encourages families to avoid the crowds of a regular Mother's Day brunch and enjoy a rally instead. The menu includes family friendly foods like nachos and pizza as well as spins on local favorites like Italian beef quesadillas and fried green tomato parm sliders.

15. Pinstripes—River North, Oak Brook, Northbrook

Enjoy a round of bowling, play bocce, or just enjoy an extensive brunch buffet at any of the Chicago area Pinstripes locations. Brunch includes several action stations like a chocolate fountain, carving station, and omelet station, or kids can stick with kid friendly chicken fingers and fries.

16. Alpana—River North

At this restaurant owned by the youngest woman to pass the master sommelier exam, moms can enjoy a wine-forward pre-fixe four-course brunch. Choose a soup, salad, or avocado toast first course with entree options including quiche, short rib hash, or strawberry shortcake French toast. Kids also get a multi-course meal with elevated kids' brunch items to match the adult menu. The meal runs $65 per adult and $35 per child.

17. Public Landing—Lockport

Farther afield, but worth the drive, this Southwest Suburban restaurant has a spectacular garden patio overlooking the I&M Canal. It will host two seatings for Mother's Day—Saturday, May 10 from 4- 9 p.m. and Sunday, May 11 from 12:30- 5:30 p.m. Menus include appetizers like salad, bacon-wrapped shrimp, and bruschetta, and entrees like maple bourbon pork tenderloin, surf and turf, and prime rib. 

18. Carnivale—Fulton Market

Special tapas, live music, and flowers for moms make this colorful restaurant a special place for Mother's Day. An extensive buffet will include Carnivale favorites like ceviche mixto, Spanish-style seafood paella, lamb stew or barbacoa, and churros with chocolate and dulce de leche sauce. A cotton candy station rounds out the fun.

19. I|O Godfrey Roofscape—River North

Chicago's largest and only year-round rooftop will offer a variety of specialty menu items including classic breakfast and brunch selections, an omelet station, eggs benedict, pancake and French toast stations, a carving station, salad bar, pasta, sushi station, a dessert station, and more. Adults pay $65 per person while kids under 12 are $15. Special grown-up drinks will also be available for purchase. 

20. The Walnut Room—Downtown

Did you miss getting reservations for Christmas meals at the Walnut Room? Mother's Day is also fun at the classic destination inside Macy's State Street. Moms get a welcome mimosa, and you can start with shareable cinnamon rolls for the table. Then enjoy perennial favorites like chicken pot pie and spring vegetable quiche before indulging in a slice of Frango mint pie or a mimosa flight.

21. Harry Caray's—Rosemont, Lombard, or Navy Pier

All Harry Caray's locations will be open on Mother's Day. The Rosemont location is offering special Mother's Day crafts to keep kids busy while waiting for the pre-fixe or standard kids' menu meals, while a DJ will be spinning at the Navy Pier location. The Lombard location offers a buffet featuring a pasta station and Harry Caray's famous chicken Vesuvio.

22. Offshore Rooftop—Navy Pier

Head out above Lake Michigan for breathtaking views from this Navy Pier rooftop restaurant. The $40-$65 brunch buffet has two seatings and includes breakfast, lunch, and kids stations. Each mom or mom-figure gets a free long-stem rose, and you can add a bloody Mary for $15 or bottomless mimosas for $35.

23. JoJo's Shake Bar—River North and Naperville

Moms with sweet tooths will love this opportunity to indulge on their special day. Choose an entree and an indulgent dessert, plus have the kids make a bouquet for you from JoJo's flower cart. The Mother's Day offer is $29 per person for the food and bouquet. Add a biggie shake or hot chocolate to make it extra special!

24. Tapville Social—Naperville

Celebrate mom with boozy iced coffee or mimosa flights for the grown-ups, along with classics like French toast or avocado toast for the whole family. Self-pour beer and wine are also still available.

25. Mother's Day Restaurant—North Riverside

The name says it all, right? This family-owned diner has an array of brunch favorites, as well as special treats like a Belgian Eskimo waffle (that's ice cream on a waffle for breakfast, which I won't say no to), bananas foster crepes, and taffy apple pancakes. Just get there early—it's packed on Mother's Day!

26. Wake 'n Bacon—Lakeview

Nothing says "fun mom" like enjoying brunch at the self-proclaimed most Instagrammable brunch venue in Chicago. Located at 420 W. Belmont, this counter service restaurant offers Latin and Asian-inspired breakfast and lunch bites, bacon flights, cocktails, and beers starting at just $6. Plus, it looks like flowers are growing from the ceiling!

27. Lynfred Winery—Roselle

More of a treat than a brunch, moms can enjoy three cupcakes from Smallcakes with a suggested wine flight or they can create their own. Delicious Lemon Drop, Pink Chocolate, and Hot Fudge Sundae cupcakes come with three glasses of wine for $30, or $22 for Lynfred Winery members. 

28. Blackberry Farm—Aurora

Buy a ticket in advance to get a brunch including scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, pancakes, country fried potatoes, fresh fruit, assorted danish, assorted muffins, orange juice, and coffee with mom. Then, enjoy the rest of the day exploring Blackberry Farm's little historic village. At just $25 for a full day of fun, this is a great deal!
