All DFW parents know that indoor birthday party places are a must. After all, this is Texas, and if there’s one thing we know, the weather is unpredictable. There’s a reason WFAA weatherman Pete Delkus is a local legend, after all. Luckily, Dallas and the rest of the metroplex have safe and entertaining kids’ birthday party spots for almost every interest or hobby. From running a mini city or taking a cooking lesson to having a Nerf gun battle, this list of indoor birthday party places has the best of the best when it comes to celebrating your kiddo.

Playstreet Museum - Various Locations
There are several Playstreet Museum locations in DFW, including Lake Highlands, Fort Worth, Murphy, Allen, Frisco, McKinney, and Plano. Each spot’s theme varies, but they all have private party rooms, and the party options range from Do-It-Yourself to Sit Back and Relax.
All of them include 1.5 hours of play for guests, but when you upgrade, you’ll get customized invitations, snacks, and decorations. There are also options to add goodie bags and activities to your party for an extra fee. The pretend play opportunities here are incredible, so this is a great spot for toddlers and preschool kids.
American Girl Store - Park Cities
The store moved to the Shops at Park Lane in 2023 and still offers birthday parties for American Girl doll fans! Packages range from Deluxe to Deluxe Private Parties and offer fun table activities, birthday crowns, goody bags, digital invitations, cake and ice creams, and snacks, depending on your selected package.
There’s even a deluxe package that includes hair styling for the guest of honor and their doll. Another fun (and new) activity is kids—along with their dolls—can get their ears pierced!
Perot Museum of Nature and Science - Arts District/Uptown
Calling all budding scientists! Dallas’ premiere science museum also has great birthday parties for kids. You’ll be escorted to your lab, where guests can enjoy the science-based activities. Your party guests also receive admission to the museum, and you can order food via Wolfgang Puck Catering.
One thing to note is that parties are only available to museum members and only on Saturdays, but the experience is unforgettable. In addition, the Moody Family Children's Museum is undergoing a renovation that should be done by mid-2025, so check before you book in regards to using that space.
Spark! - South Dallas
This unique spot is an immersive creative experience for kids ages seven and up. There’s an indoor playground, crafting opportunities, and art workshops. You can book a birthday party which includes a designated space for your guests, full access to the SPARK! Creative environment, including the Climb, Crawl, and Slide sculpture play area, assistance with unloading, set up, and break down, and you can upgrade to include an activity that doubles as a party favor.

A&R Workshop - Various Locations
Older kids (ages seven and up) will enjoy a maker birthday at A&R Workshop. Choose between wood signs, yarn wall hanging, picture frames, denim art, candle pouring, knit blankets, and more, and simply send your guests a link so they know what they’ll be creating during the party. A&R takes care of set up and clean up, all you have to do is show up and have fun.
Cheeky Monkeys - Various Locations
Perfect for petite partygoers, this indoor birthday party place has soft climbing structures, a blocks station, a Monkey clubhouse, organized activities, and arts and crafts.
Their parties are divided into three categories: Spectac-U-lar, Premiere, and Themed. All of them are two hours long: one hour in the play space and one hour in the private party room. They all include a kids’ meal like chicken nuggets or cheese pizza, and all include a dedicated party host. As you level up you’ll get perks like extra decor, a visit from the monkey mascot, snacks, slime stations, a pinata, and more.
Altitude Trampoline Park - Richardson, Cedar Hill, Grapevine
Take to the air at this indoor party spot just north of Dallas. Whether your kid likes dodgeball, a summit jumper, or a trapeze artist, a party here promises two hours of fun. When you book a party at Altitude, you’ll get a private table or room and pizza for guests. You can bring your cake and decor (there’s a small fee for clean-up assistance), and the birthday guest of honor gets a gift before they leave.
K1 Speed - Richardson, Arlington
Does your birthday kid have the need for speed? Let them race it out with friends at this indoor birthday party spot that is good for kids and teens. The party package includes a 12-lap qualifying race and a 12-lap final event race, one hour in a dedicated party room, pizza, sodas, and medals for the top three racers and birthday child!
Guests will also have plenty of photo ops, and the race can be reserved for your preferred time. Plus, your party fee includes clean-up services, so all you have to do is arrive and drive.
Kidzania - Frisco

In Area 52 you’ll get a table, a dedicated host, and private bathrooms. All parties run for two hours.
Young Chef Academy - Frisco, Rockwall, Fort Worth
If you have a culinary kid, a private class at one of the three Young Chef Academy in Dallas-Fort Worth is a dream birthday party. Choose between a pizza-making party, a pasta party, a royal tea party, or a create, decorate, and celebrate cupcake party. All parties last 1.5 hours, and prices vary, depending on your chosen theme.
Hapik Climbing Gym - Garland
One of the great things about having a birthday party at Hapik is guests don’t require any climbing experience! This fun and cheery place in Firewheel Mall has various climbing routes (some are multi-climber challengers with timers), a ropes course, and vertical challenges like the Leap of Faith and The Stairway to Heaven. If you have kids who love to bowl, this is a great indoor birthday party place. You can reserve a lane or a private suite, plus, there are a ton of other attractions here, like ropes courses, bumper cars, arcade games, laser tag, and a rock climbing wall.
As far as food goes, you can’t go wrong with classics like pizza, chicken tenders, nachos, mozzarella sticks, and of course, their famous 32oz Speciality milkshakes.
Nickelrama - Garland
This nostalgic arcade center is a fantastic indoor birthday party spot for everybody. There are two locations in Garland, and both have tons of games including video games, simulation games, and ticket games that cost between one and six nickels. This is a very affordable party option, and you can save even more by bringing food and treats. The party package includes admission for up to 16 guests and one picnic table, and you can stay at the arcade for as long as you like after your two hours are up.
